A Project With Albert Muzquiz

We worked with our friend Albert Muzquiz on this project, bringing one of his favorite vintage thermals back to life. Together with our factory partners in Portugal, we developed the knit and construction from the ground up to bring you our Flat Knit Cotton Thermal.

Albert joined us in Porto and spent time in the surrounding regions of Guimarães and Famalicão, where these were produced and where we make many of our goods. The result is something familiar yet new — a reflection of our shared appreciation for well-made essentials and the hands that bring them to life.

We set out to capture the qualities that made Albert’s original so special: the weight, the texture, and the way it fits close without restriction. The fabric was knitted on a flatbed machine to achieve a more structured rib and refined hand. Made from ring-spun, combed cotton yarn weighing 310gsm, each one is cut and sewn by hand and finished with a longer body designed to be tucked in and worn comfortably as a base layer.

A new classic, shaped by texture, fit, and the quiet beauty of thoughtful construction.
