Refund policy

We offer a 14-day return window. You’ll have 14 days from the date you receive your order to request a return, and an additional 5 days after your return is approved to ship the item(s) back to us. Please review the details below, as some items, including sale and collaboration items, are non-returnable.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unworn or unused, with its original tags attached and in its original packaging. You’ll also need your receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, please visit our Returns & Exchanges Portal. For returns or exchanges on orders purchased through our Basics Program, please email hello@knickerbocker.nyc with your order number. Refunds to the original payment method are subject to a 5% restocking fee, calculated on the value of the merchandise being returned. No restocking fee applies to product exchanges or returns for store credit.

This fee does not apply to defective, damaged, or incorrect items, to returns made under the European Union statutory right of withdrawal, or where prohibited by law.

If your return is accepted, we’ll provide instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Free return shipping labels are available for domestic shipments only. If you are returning an international shipment, please provide us with your tracking number.

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon receipt. If an item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, please email hello@knickerbocker.nyc with your order number and photos of the issue so we can help.

Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items

We cannot accept returns on sale items, gift cards, or collaboration items. Please get in touch if you have questions about your specific item.

Exchanges

We are happy to help you with an exchange within 14 days of purchase. To request an exchange, please visit our Returns & Exchanges Portal.

For Basics Program exchanges, please email hello@knickerbocker.nyc with your order number and the item(s) you’d like to exchange. We recommend reviewing our size guide when selecting your replacement item(s).

European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

If your order is shipped into the European Union and the statutory right of withdrawal applies, you may notify us within 14 days of receiving your goods that you wish to cancel, without giving a reason. You then have 14 days from notifying us to send the goods back.

No restocking fee applies. You are responsible for the direct cost of return shipping unless we have agreed to cover it. You may be responsible for any diminished value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods.

We will reimburse payments, including the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option, within 14 days of being notified of your withdrawal. We may withhold reimbursement until we receive the goods or evidence that you have sent them back, whichever occurs first. These statutory rights take precedence over any conflicting conditions elsewhere in this policy.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know whether your refund has been approved. If approved, you’ll be refunded to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember that your bank or credit card company may take additional time to process and post the refund.
